26.05.27The room was nice. The location was ok. Overall not too bad
26.05.27Stayed here for one night to attend a wedding last minute.
Of the bat, the front desk agent Sarah was a bit rude at first. Arrived at 12, first thing she said was no early check in. There was no warm greeting or welcome. Stored my belongings then left to get breakfast. While eating, I emailed the hotel (could not call due to only having an eSIM for data with no calls) I explained that I had a wedding to attend at 3pm and had to be there by 2:30. Kindly asked for an exception because I am needing to get ready for a wedding (change clothes and do make up) I was replied to promptly. Emailed stayed it was possible if room was available, other wise check in is at 4. But there’s a bathroom in lobby as last resort.
Came back to hotel at 1pm and inquired again. Again, Sarah was a bit rude, told us still no early check as there’s no rooms available. So we were forced to get ready in the bathroom. At the first the bathroom light wasn’t working, she had to come in and fix it. while getting ready in the bathroom, other guests were knocking on the door every few minutes because the other bathroom was not in service. there was heavy traffic for that bathroom I’m guessing because no one is allowed early check in so people want to quickly use the toilet before leaving and coming back for 4 pm check in. I felt bad for staying in the washroom for too long so I quickly changed, grabbed my stuff and started to get ready in the lobby. Thankfully there was a mirror and a better lighting in the lobby. The guests and other staff gave weird looks because 2 girls were doing their hair and make up in the lobby lmao. By 2 pm, we were approached by Sarah stating there was a room ready. She checked us in, we were told she waved a $50 usd early check in for a good review. But I cannot for the life of me lie and write a 5 star review when my experience was far from 5 star. I think 2 star is already generous considering everthing. There’s a 39$ usd resort fee which is far fetched considering the place is old, unkept and run down. Barely any amenities to use.. this place is far from a “resort” the photos online on this place is definitely heavily edited or ai. I could tell this used to be a nice hotel in its prime years but it seemed that it wasn’t managed well. Room was big and decent. The mattress was alright but if you have back issues I don’t think you’d be comfortable. Good food options nearby and they also offer breakfast from 6am til 10? Toiletries offered was basic: bar of soap, lotion, shampoo. The room had a weird smell the carpet was wet near the bathroom. Decent wifi, free parking. They offer coffee and water at the lobby by the bar.
We were able to finish getting ready in the room by 2:30 then left for the wedding. Came back around 11pm, checked out by 5am.
It was only ok… we were barely in the room since we were there only for 1 night for a wedding. Still the experience could’ve been better had we had a better customer service or attitude ? Probably won’t come back here tho, perhaps explore other cheaper options in the area who are more transparent with their extra fees and friendlier staff.
26.05.27This hotel is a bit strange for me. The whole place is run down, doesn’t look like the photos at all. It’s not clean.. there’s not a lot of staff, other than 1 or two front desk staff, I only saw maybe 1 housekeeper? No one is at the bar. The room is very big which was nice, the mattress is only ok… you can tell it’s very old since when you lie down you feel a dip in the middle from long term use. The carpet was wet when we came in… I thought maybe it was from cleaning… but after returning to the room after 9 hours it was still wet :/
- the room was listed via third party site for *** per night but upon checking out there’s tax (which is normal) plus a surcharge of ***. I have no idea what the surcharge is… booked another hotel in Vegas there wasn’t a surcharge so that was weird. Upon checking in there is a charge for resort fee of ***. I find this weird as well since this hotel don’t have a lot of amenities and a lot of things are run down and barely working. There’s a spa but doesn’t look clean plus I didn’t see anyone working there, doesn’t look relaxing either, the gym is a joke maybe 3 equipments, very small gym? There’s a pool but half of it was taped off with yellow caution tape. No my sure if they charge resort fee when the pool is close from Oct to April. The surroundings around the pool aren’t well kept, there’s a big pile of sand just sitting there on the grass no idea what for lol. The cabanas and beach chair looks like it hasn’t been used in years, I don’t think anyone would want to either. Doesn’t look safe to use lol. So I’m not sure what resort fee is for if there’s no amenities you can use or things aren’t even kept well. There’s no casino in the premises so idk the point of the resort fee. Funny thing is there was no mention of resort fee prior to booking, only after booking did it mention a resort fee paid on arrival. This makes me question wth is the surcharge fee of *** vs resort fee of *** which also equals to ***. Other nice hotels on the strip have a resort fee of *** per night which isn’t that much more considering they actually have amenities you can use lmao.
There’s absolutely no early check in. The front desk lady name Sarah was a bit rude, no Hi, Hello, how are you? Welcome to serene boutique! How can I help you…. Nothing. The first thing she said to me when I arrived at the desk was.. “No early check in, no exception. Check in is at 4pm. You can leave your stuff and come back later.” I couldn’t even say a word in. No early check in, not even for an hour… there’s a *** fee for early check in not sure if that’s per hour or a flat rate. It’s weird because the place was deserted…. Hard to believe all the rooms are taken. When I checked online there were still rooms available, same room type I booked. After I stayed there I realized, it was probably because they probably only had maybe 2 house keepers, they probably cannot keep up as it is.
They only had one washroom open in the lobby as one was out of order.. so everyone in lobby who arrive early have to wait up to use it. The light in the only bathroom wasnt working so they had to fix it before we could use it. The elevator was also out of order, so you’d have to take the stairs if you’re on the second floor. We had a room on the ground level which was right in front of the laundry area. So our room had a little patio area but it wasn’t fit for use since the front it faces the laundry room, and had about 3 big bins of towels, sheets, blankets. It was also very noisy in the morning with the house keeping running the washer/dryer and walking back and forth for supplies.
This facility is supposed to be smoking free but the area outside our room smelled like cigarettes… not sure from staff or other guest.
There are other budget hotels nearby that are cheaper with no resort fee. Stayed at a *** on Tropicana ave which was closer to airport, closer walk to *** (less than 10 min) vs serene which is
26.05.23Don’t really see this place as a resort! It’s a money grab
26.05.22They not fair also always ask more money more fee i didn't recommend it
