26.04.28I recently stayed at Guangdong Baiyun City Hotel and had a mixed experience overall.
One of the main advantages of this hotel is its convenient location. It’s situated directly opposite Guangzhou Railway Station, and the MRT is just about a 5-minute walk away, which makes getting around the city very easy.
However, there are several downsides that affected my stay. Food options around the hotel are quite limited, and the breakfast served at the hotel restaurant lacks variety. The taste is average at best and not particularly satisfying. The bed was very hard, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, there was a noticeable smell of cigarettes both in the lobby and in the room, which was unpleasant.
Communication was also a bit challenging, as some of the staff on the floor could not speak English, although they did try to assist using translation apps. On a positive note, the room size was decent and comfortable enough in terms of space.
Considering the overall experience, I found the hotel to be quite expensive for what it offers. Due to these issues, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.
