Matsubayashi

It is my best stay and memories in my Wakayama road trip. The guest takes us to the local fish markets in the early morning and teach us how to make Sushi for our breakfast. He is funny and nice and with great hospitality . I enjoy my stay there.

I stayed here for 2 nights on my way home to Australia after 16 days in Japan. The staff are fantastic - so polite and super professional. The food was amazing!!! I was driven to the station by the owner when he saw me with my luggage. I could have walked because it's not far. Rooms are Japanese style, large, with air-conditioning. I took a 10 minute train ride to Yuasa to see the historic buildings and discover the town which first made soy sauce. I also enjoyed a walk up to an amazing lookout with a gorgeous restaurant and hotel at the top. I saw badgers! Highly recommended.
