25.10.27The hotel is just beside the church, in the middle of city. Very near to the ferry terminal. Hotel room is nice but the heater is a bit too warm for me, I have to on the fan to be able to sleep.
25.10.17 We had a wonderful stay at Seehotel Grüner Baum. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The staff, especially Sergei, was exceptionally kind and helpful — always greeting us with a warm smile. We arrived earlier than the check-in time, and Sergei kindly allowed us to process the check-in first so that later in the evening, we could simply pick up our room keys.
The hotel’s location is perfect — just a short walk (less than 50 meters) from the ferry pier, making it extremely convenient for travelers arriving by boat. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant — the view was absolutely breathtaking and made the experience even more memorable.
Our room was cozy and beautifully decorated, with a small balcony overlooking the charming square. The bathroom was clean and spacious. There was a minor issue with the TV not working due to a technical problem, but it didn’t affect our stay since the Wi-Fi connection was excellent.
The only suggestion we have for future improvement would be to provide a proper luggage storage area for early arrivals. At the moment, luggage is left near the reception at the guest’s own risk. Perhaps a simple tagging system could help guests feel more at ease.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay — excellent service, beautiful setting, and great hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hallstatt!
