Ryokan Senju

Overall had a great experience. I personally enjoyed the traditional/retro feeling. It was warming and cozy. I always love coming to these type of accommodation and having a tea/snack to unwind. The futon was comfortable and space was large. The bathroom itself is a bit snugged as a 175cm (5'9") tall person, but I don't mind it at all. Very central area. The owner is welcoming and friendly with tons of recommendations of the area.

Ryokan Senju is basic but it's more than enough for a good night's rest. The town is absolutely deserted at night but there is a seven eleven just next door for your late night cravings.

Location is great for Takachiho gorge but facility is old, and even you can’t smoke in your room you can still smoke in the building open space so our room was very stinky. I can see them trying to keep the place clean but it’s old.
