25.11.07Motel 6 - Flag/Woodlands
Avoid!!! I had an early c/i, which was “clearly” stated on my reservation. Upon my arrival, the person in another country via a monitor was there to check me in (this was their front desk agent).
She said they did not have my reservation, so I showed her my Agoda Reservation.
She then said the reservation was found, but NOT prepaid, so I showed her the prepayment.
She then said a 50$ (represents 1 nights rent) early arrival fee was needed. I informed her that they had 5 days to inform me of the early check-in fee and did not, so I refused.
This was the amazing part, she then questioned me on my arrival (via train) and my itinerary (to coincide with my early arrival), so during the many muted minutes they checked the arrival times of Amtrak, to verify my early check-in “story”.
During this horrific check-in, I could see the supervisor, the FD female and another call center worker and at times they were laughing as a group (at me I do not know). But either way, extremely unprofessional.
So the 20 minute check-in process was very questionable and appeared to me they were (almost desperately) trying to get my credit card number. This is a corporate Motel 6 that is now owned by a foreign company (beware!!!!).
The room was clean and the Hskp personnel were nice, but the Front Desk experience was appalling and their desperation to get my credit/debit card number was VERY concerning. Thank God I made my hotel reservation via a third party, so my credit/debit card was NOT available to these people.
