Motel 6 New Orleans

Property is located roughly 5 miles from downtown. Walmart, McDonald, Waffle House, Burger King and few other restaurants are at walkable distance. Rooms were big and clean. It’s not posh, but absolutely worth the quoted cost, relatively. Staff were polite and welcoming. Best for families and solo travelers who can compromise on luxury.

I traveled with a group of friends, and this was one of the worst motel experiences we’ve had. The place was not clean at all, and the overall maintenance was very poor. The bathroom door wouldn’t even close properly, which made it extremely uncomfortable and inconvenient. The rooms did not feel hygienic, and it seemed like basic cleaning was not done before our arrival. We expected at least a minimum standard of cleanliness, but this motel did not meet that expectation. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Please improve cleanliness and basic maintenance for future guests.

People's cars are parked in front of room and they just talk all night there and early in the morning, perhaps unaware that we can hear from the room. You will hear door slams and people chattering through the lobby loud. The room is really bare, no kettle either. Bring your own shampoo. We paid a premium because of mardi gras so it makes the value for money even worse. plus the uber from the city to here costs more during festival. you do get fast food outlets and walmart across the street if there is any plus at all.
