We booked our ocean view deluxe view on agoda and looked forward to our pre-cruise 2 night trip before our cruise. What a disaster. We flew in from New Zealand and arrived at 4:00 AM and were rudely told that we were not entitled to a deluxe ocean view room or a double bed - just singles. We were then taken to a building where neither the elevator nor the phone worked (we were 4 floors up). I made a fuss and we were given a ground floor room for the night and finally got to sleep at 6 am. The following day we were moved to a lovely ocean view deluxe room, but by then we were completely shot. The beach and the pool are lovely, but the food is mediocre and the service terrible. The hotel is also dated and looks quite roughed up. On the last day were were granted a 2 hour extra stay because of the problems, but when we arrived back to the room, the room had been stripped of all sheets and towels despite the do not disturb sign on the door. We were rushing to shower before our cruise and my partner had to go nab a towel off of a cart because room service did not show up with the towels until the exact time we were checking out. So not worth it. How often are you in Tahiti? Don't go through what we did, go to the Intercontinental (where we are going at the end of our cruise).

Beware that the noise of harsh waves do tear through your peaceful night's sleep b/c the rooms aren't sound-proof. We booked a room with kitchen, but it lacked most kitchen essentials (cutlery, cooking utensils, salt/pepper, etc). Plus, it had lots of ants roaming carefree on the kitchen bench. The listing indicates the additional resort fee as XPF1800 (to be paid separately when checking out) but they charged us XPF1950, which felt like a rip-off, so do factor in an extra AU$50 per night when booking with them. The staff, albeit friendly, can barely speak English. But we survived by making hand gestures :)

For the money we paid for one night it was very poor value. Hotel is old and dated. TV had 3 English news stations. TV was size of large desktop monitor. Railings rusted. Water pools in hallways and by next day no one cleaned up. Huge slipping risk
