25.06.23It is one of our most memorable stay in Japan. The house is so beautiful you be able to wear kimono and take fantastic picture in the house. Its very has a very japanese layout with morden appliances.
You be able to use a big kitchen. Washer with good drying function was a godsent to have new fresh clothes during our holiday. It takes about 3 and half hour to complete entire cycle.
Its a town house run by a hotel group over there. The place is huge with 2 toilets and 1 big bath w 2 shower set and 1 tub facing the garden.
Staff was helpful and w smile. Cleanliness was good considered the size of the house.
Nothing is perfect so let me highlight a few concerns that others may want to consider. This place is deep inside their residential area. It takes at least 10-15min walk from the hotel of key collection. The room on the ground floor will experience some road noise if a vehicle travel past at night. It does not happen often but it will. Lastly is to remember to close the sliding door to the garden! Otherwise garden millepedes will crawl into the house.
That being said. I will book this town house again when I visit kyoto. Its amazing. You definitely need to stay at least once. At least it wont be as boring as a small hotel room
25.05.26We’ve been to Kyoto several times and this is the best place we’ve stayed at. A little walk to the subway but we really found the location superb in terms of the quiet and nicer Machiya neighborhood.. very large rooms, more than ample space for our group of 7 adults. Check in at the royal park iconic Kyoto hotel was easy and accommodated our late arrival. Nicer restaurants around the area. Try Brisa for Italian. Loved the design, clean and new. Will definitely stay here next time. Great for hosting friends and family visitors. More roomy than seen in pictures.
