25.03.16This is my second time at Hotel BOKA and I would probably stay again. I am aware that the property is currently undergoing renovation but I was unable to tell if my particular room had been done.
Pros:
* location is amazing! A 2 minute walk from Earls Court tube station.
* clean - my room was turned over daily
*shower was warm
*wifi had a decent connection
*friendly counter staff / easy check in and out.
Cons (these are all quick fixes and superficial)
* old headboard had been ripped off and there was just chunks of old resin / putty that could’ve been removed.
* shower head doesn’t fit in shower head holder - so would have to carefully balance or hold with other hand
* shower curtain didn’t reach the bottom of the shower tray - so water splashes everywhere as there’s no way to direct it
*black mould in bathroom - HG Mold Spray should sort this
* sink leaking
* room could do with a paint and missing chunks filled in.
25.02.01To be honest, it is the most terrible stay I have ever had. First thing first when we arrived at the hotel around 10:40 from the airport knowing that the reception were available only until 11pm hence we rush there asap, later ringing the door bell with no one responding and try to find their phone number to call with and couldn’t find any. In the end no responses and we were force to make another booking at other hotel for one night. Apparently a double pay for this night. The next morning when we went there and ask for any solutions or refund, nothing has been given other than a late check out at 2pm. In this case, I was being charged for one night when they only reschedule us a 3hrs late check out from its originally time of 11am. Totally a human mistake closing the reception earlier from the promised time.
Apart from that, the room is totally different from what shows in Agoda. It’s run down, the walls are damp both the room and the bathroom, also grotty dirty shower curtain. Addition, there’s a small window in the bathroom where it’s directly facing the renovation site, you can literally heard someone talking which make me feels so insecure when using the toilet as the window is not fully covered or blocked .
On the plus side the hotel is located at a very convenience place which is near to the underground. Staff were friendly trying to sort things out but still the management are expected to have some improvement. In the present condition, I would not recommend this stay, glad that I was only staying one night in the end as I booked for two nights. Hoping that there will be some upgrades and improvements
24.11.05Great location. Close to Earls Court station. The staff named Marina is very nice and when it rains she is happy to lend me her umbrella. When I stayed here I was quite surprised because the outside of the hotel was under renovation. The hotel is not the same as advertised on agoda. In the picture the room looks spacious and big but when you arrive the room is quite small and uses old furniture. Suitable for travelers who do not want to spend time in the room for a long time. The equipment provided in the room is quite good, there is a microwave to heat food, a kettle & coffee maker.
24.10.08Construction going on, rooms are damaged and old, description and pictures differ from actual room, no aircon for summer times, noisy, hanging light fixture, hair in bathroom and shower.
But the bed was comfortable.
24.10.05There are a lot of constructions going on so there is no peace a lot of noise since early morning so you can not rest. Extremely small, bathroom is quite old and shower is tiny. It felts really hot sometimes even if it is not summer. No windows so no where to get fresh air. No lift to the room
