26.01.12It’s my second time at Baan Tepa and I am sure there will be a third time when I am back in Bangkok. The house is an antique gorgeous wooden house, nested in a lush garden of a small narrow street that doesn’t even feel like you are in the city. The neighbourhood is picturesque, nonetheless very well organized with local shops, restaurants, etc. it’s quiet, local and by the canal but also close to the river and it’s very convenient to take the boat ferry to go around the touristic highlights.
What makes Baan Tepa really special though is the owners, a lovely couple that goes over and beyond with their kindness and professionalism to make sure your stay is truly comfortable and peaceful. If you need a place to wind down after a long day around this is the right place for you, if you want to be close to the “action” then maybe is not the right one. Thank you again for having us!
24.10.29This is one of my best stayed in Bangkok, even I'm alone, with friend, or with family I would come back here again and again. First I feel very welcome from the owner who lives together in the property, the house surround with green in the heart of traditional Thai town. You will meet many Thai neighbor and see the way of life around here. The room with bathroom are very clean and comfortable, the air condition is a plus ! breakfast are fantastic! I will be back again.
23.05.16I first wanna say that this is by far the best accommodation I have ever booked in Thailand! I am sure they are great ones too, but this one made our stay exceptional! The hosts are lovely and the kindest people you’ll ever meet, always smiling, and greeting, always ready to help! They also make a sensational breakfast! The house is very colorful and we loved it, as for the location we always took grab and the drivers never had any difficulties, it’s about a 25 minute walk to Khoasan road and the area is lovely and peaceful, definitely makes you experience Thailand in another way than staying in a hotel near the busy areas ! The rooms all have AC and the beds are comfortable! I cannot praise the hosts enough for making our stay exceptional, I would definitely recommend and would stay here again next time we’re in Bangkok!
23.03.24Lovely little place and convenient for what I needed. It's not super close to a metro line but you can easily take a bus or taxi to victory monument and travel from there. Fantastic service and the room perfect
23.02.16This little guesthouse is a truly hidden gem. It’s located in a quiet and pretty elegant neighbourhood, away from the hustle but very easy for reaching any points of interest with cheap cabs. It’s about 15 mins walk from a pier on the river where it’s convenient to take the purple line ferry to jump off and see some of the historical remarks. Nonetheless, this is what makes this house so special: it’s a quiet place and a breathe of tranquillity, immersed in a lush green garden. You can hear the water from the fountain and the birds chirping all day long, it makes it hard to believe you are actually in busy Bangkok! On top of that, the house is a traditional and original wooden house, with open balconies of almost 100 years ago, surely renovated but still keeping that ancient charm. The place is extra clean and smells wonderful already when you are outside. The rooms are small but comfortable, with AC and private toilet. The owners are really special: truly kind, smiley, generous and helpful. There is the possibility to arrange traditional Thai breakfast, delicious and homemade. If it wasn’t clear so far, I would definitely recommend this place and surely come back the next time I am in Bangkok!
