I can’t compare with luxury hotel but it was good

I have stayed at Petals Inn many times over the past 6 or 7 years but the hotel is starting to show it's age. In my room the wooden floor had large gaps between some of the boards, the fan didn't work in the bathroom, some of the lights didn't work, the room safe took multiple attempts to close. The shower in the morning only had cold water, it was OK on an evening. The room and hotel were clean, staff as helpful as always but it lacks general maintenance to keep the rooms at their best.

I contacted the hotel days before to organise an early check-in. When I arrived I was told they only have a twin room of lesser value than I booked and couldn't change to my normal booking. So I said I would wait til 2pm check-in time. Not 10 mins later, they had my room available (this is all at 4am in the morning and I was in the lobby so no-one checked in or out). I go to my room, they come back mins later and move me to another room. So they had the availability, why lie? The sheet had holes in them, no hot water and an aircon that was loud and not cool. Internet wasnt provided at first and when it was, you can only log into 1 device at a time. The young man cleaning staff and the day time staff were fine but the night staff is where I had the issues. Lastly, the prostitutes are allowed to hang out by the front door and in the lobby so would you want to bring your family here? An expensive disappointment

Total bait and switch people nice , but no hot water , had to put pass code in on safe several times to lock other than the rooms , not much else for facilities

Hotel location near to nightlife scene. Environment may not be suitable for families. But hotel wise is ok. Room is decent. Housekeeping is good. Staff is friendly.
