I was really charmed by this beautiful, comfortable hotel. I used the fitness center, and it was fine. No shoes allowed past the entrance but that is fine by me. Free bottled water and coffee in both the rooms and lobby. Quiet and very enjoyable.

The location is a 2-minute walk to the famous temple, Wat Chedi Luang, with a 7-11 just round the corner providing convenience. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. However, they're short-staffed so don't expect 24/7 concierge / reception availability. And when the receptionist goes out for lunch, we're asked to message hotel staff next door (Chala number 6 hotel) who don't get back to you. Our room light was very dim as there was no lighting in the middle of the room, relying on 2 tiny lights in the corner + 2 bedside table lamps to light up the room which was spacious (a positive, at least). The windows were directly above our headboard so when the sun rises, it wakes you up because the curtains do not block them out due to the angle - you're looking up into the sunlight directly from beneath the curtains due to the position of the windows above the headboard and pillows. There was also a smell in the toilet which we asked them to address and they did, but it came back again on our last day. If you can put up with a dark room, being woken up by the strong sunshine in your eyes, struggling to get hold of reception (who are lovely folks, when they're available), and a toilet that smells which is always a gamble, then I'd highly recommend this hotel!

Summary: While location is great, U can not understand the positive reviews. At *** a night this is hugely underwhelming. It’s a boutique hostel with private rooms if I had to compare with other hotels in the price segment. Cons: -The bathroom smells very bad like sewage coming from drainage, no hand soap, sink leaking water everywhere -The room has full sunlight at sunrise. No blinds. -The pool is tiny and not clear. Too much chlorine is my guess. Very murky. -The breakfast is simply sub-standard. Undercooked pork sausage (cold and pink inside), undercooked sunny side up egg (egg white uncooked), missing items, wrong items even after asking multiple times. I wouldn’t pay 100Thb for it to be fair. I would recommend them to cancel breakfast altogether as no breakfast is better than this experience. Pro: -Great location in old town near sights and restaurants -Quiet -Free unlimited bottled water in community fridges

The staff is nice and help, the pool.is pretty small, prefer for people who are not going to stay a lot of the hotel.
