Himawari Hotel

We've stayed here several times and highly recommend it. Really great Cambodian staff throughout the hotel. Good food. Adjacent to riverside and good location for tourists

I had the pleasure of living here many years ago. This is the first time I've returned since then. It is still a magnificent apartment. Rooms are huge and clean. Staff is incredible. It's a short walk in to the center of town. My highest recommendation.

Several flocks of pigeons (about 20 birds in each) laid eggs in nests behind the A/C units (bc they're warm), so the volume of fluttering, chirping and especially the bird droppings on everything kind of dominates the experience. I like birds, but this was pretty gross and labor intensive in terms of managing the sheer volume of birds living and nesting literally five feet from the bed. Good luck with all those birds.

Good location and good for walking along Mekong river. Easy excess to boat ride too.

Went there for staycation. Booked a garden view but forced to accept noisy street view by the female receptionist. She is not helpful, lack of information. Too much i dont know this and that. Doesn't know spa information n not willing to figure out. went to spa n spa also said didn't know n asked us to go to reception to check. Anyway she offered us to speak with reservation team n asked us to wait without estimation. wasting our time even tho we said we will wait at the brewery. until we finished eating nobody approached us at brewery. we went back to reception n she asked us to wait again. Finally female reservation team came out. Explained that they didn't receive our booking from Agoda but from Travel Agency instead. but cmon I am writing this on Agoda. Anyway she upgraded the room to 2 bedroom with garden view but funny that she locked the 2nd bedroom. It's like a half hearted action which usually does not happen in other hotels. Brewery beers were amazing and Vuthy is so nice and good at recommending beer options. Until the bakut teh came out n voila $8++ for 2 small pork ribs with more rice. I asked them to check is it how the portion should be and the waitress Ms. simien got shocked in disbelief so I showed her the picture. she felt bad n gave us 10% off but still. Went to swimming pool to cover my mood after so many times spent of waiting n waiting. Female lockers filled with lizards shits and dead bugs. Even jacuzzi surrounding has lizards shits everywhere. I thought let's get over it and wait for tomorrow's breakfast. voila! cockroach near the bread n coffee machine. informed the staff n his respond is silence grab tissue n took the cockroach away. ordered egg benedicts 2 times waited for 1 hour just to be informed later that they could not make it and asked to change. so changed to fried egg which they made but didn't bother to call us to pick it up or deliver it to your table. Service is bad. There is no warmth hospitality here Will I come again? absolutely not. Goodluck whoever wanna try this hotel for staycation.
