24.07.21The place was clean and when they say no smoking, I mean not only does the door have a sign that says it's a no smoking room but it actually DOESN'T smell like smoke. The room was very clean, comfortable bed, I like the detail of the table in the room. AC worked amazingly (it's summer in July) The only downside I would say is the limited parking and not a lot of places near by for stuff.
26.03.07I stayed one night at the Riviera Motel and overall it was a decent, no-frills place to stay. I booked through Agoda and paid about $94 for a Friday night, which felt like a reasonable price for the area.
The room itself is pretty basic. There’s a small TV (around 32 inches), a refrigerator, and the usual essentials. I usually bring my own streaming device to plug into the TV. The Wi-Fi wasn’t very strong during my stay. There are no microwaves in the rooms and no coffee maker either. Towels are minimal and there were only two pillows per bed.
Parking is available, but on busy weekends it can fill up.
What this place really has going for it is the location. It’s within walking distance of a great coffee shop, a couple of seafood spots with really good entrees, a liquor store, and two Mexican restaurants that serve solid food. There’s also a convenience store similar to an AM/PM nearby, plus a gas station and a car wash.
If you’re looking for a simple place to stay and want the convenience of being able to walk to a few food spots and stores, this place works well. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s reasonably priced and in a convenient location.
