It’s a good deal if staying in this area

Our intention was to stay within a walking distance between Tamsui Fisherman Wharf. This place is one of the hotels in the area which is very close to the wharf. Overall we are pretty lucky to get a relatively clean and spacious room. Paid a higher hotel rate than normal days since it’s year end. Everything was great, except the room is a bit dusty and it triggered our allergies. Hot water for shower was great though.

It should be the worst hotel I have ever been to for years. It was a very cold night on my stay. It was so cold I only wanted to get into the room for some warmth ASAP. For most of the hotels I have ever stayed, you only have to present your passport and they will look for your booking and let you have a room. But for this one, the staff insisted that I must let her have the booking number so she could "find my booking". Took moments for me to find the booking number. But then when I had barely finished telling her the booking she already had in her hand the piece of paper with my information on it. So she did NOT need the booking number to "find my booking"! In the room, there was no warm air from the air-conditioner and I was told that all the rooms in the hotel does not have warm air. The temperature control of the air-conditioner did not work at all so eventually I had to turn off the air-conditioner. It was very cold. There was hair in the bathtub. The blinds in the shower cubicle could not entirely cover the window. There was also damp smell in the room. There was no slippers in the room and I was only told as I check out that I had to ask for it (but I was not informed I had to ask for it). There was, however, a condom in one of the drawers in the room. Electricity output was slow. I will never ever visit this hotel again.

I was told a price but was charged a completely different price and I could get a compensation either

For solo or young travelker that won't mind distance to mini mart and eating place. LRT is operating at park.
