Had a great stay at the desert lodge i initially felt a little reserved upon arrival because the hotel has not had an exterior facelift in some time however upon meeting the fine employees that are working there and being treated so incredibly nice and fairly And building a lasting friendship with the proprietor I have to say we rather enjoyed the stay there the rates were a great value and even during cochella weekend they still had the wear with all to keep the rates fair and not try and gouge the public for rooms that were empty . The inside of our room was very nice , it’s obviously been remodeled inside as there were fresh linens, fresh paint, newer furniture and the room still smelled like it was under construction with that fresh paint and flooring smell the room had hard wood flooring and it was obviously recently installed . I would recommend this motel for any budget conscious traveler it’s a great value, the pool is great, and it’s Palm Springs it’s really not a bad spot to land

Infested With Roaches

This place was the nastiest "hotel" i've ever stayed at. Bugs everywhere. It was FILTHY!!!

I had a mixed experience staying at this lodge. While it was quiet at night and the older couple at the front desk were genuinely kind and welcoming, the condition of the room left a lot to be desired. The space felt very outdated, and cleanliness was an issue. The floors were dirty, the blanket had visible stains, and one of the chairs was heavily stained as well. The curtain rod was also falling off the wall. Maintenance did come by, but unfortunately didn’t bring any tools and only pushed the screw back in, so the issue wasn’t actually fixed and it fell again shortly after. I also noticed a lot of static when touching outlets and light switches, which was a bit concerning. Overall, the peaceful environment and friendly front desk staff were positives, but the lack of cleanliness and upkeep made the stay disappointing.

I am writing a review to prevent others from what I experienced. I parked on the side of the building and it was already a red flag, people with empty gas cans trying to get money, people riding on bicycles whistling, trying to get people to come outside. It was clear to me that this was a long term druggie motel. I went to the front and was given a key and then said “Oh this room isn’t ready.” And was given another. I was put into a room with all the activity and there were several cockroaches inside. The room itself was small and smelled like cigarettes. Everything was extremely outdated. We didn’t last 3 minutes until we asked to leave immediately. The person at the window said the other room was ready and that they sprayed the room and said it was hot so the bugs would come out. I did not pay chump change to stay here on a popular festival weekend. They said that this was a non refundable room, but if I called they would cancel the booking. They did cancel 1, but not the expensive portion. I had to show evidence of roaches for which I was then reimbursed. I would never recommend this property. My guess is the “nicer” rooms are by the pool, but if you get put in the back beware.
