Wonderful property used as a base for exploring the Japanese alps region after a hut to hut hike near kamikochi. Walk to the bus stop, convenient and easy to locate. Kind staff, beautiful indoor outdoor onsen and wonderful breakfast and dinner served kaiseki style. Would stay again.

It was a really really lovely ryokan by a river. The staff are attentive and thoughtful. The outdoor hot spring is very enjoyable. Breakfast elaborate and you get to experience many different tastes and textures. If you don’t order dinner at the ryokan, the alternative is to drive to Matsumoto and the road is narrow and winding. The best part is the convenience of getting to Kamikochi. The taxi stand is beside the ryokan and the bus stop 5 minutes walk away. Love it!

It is not a big hotel but the staff treats every customers as VIP. The service is great. There are different onsen to enjoy. Food is also great!
