26.01.18Location:
The property is about a 5-minute walk from the nearest метро station, and it takes around 20 minutes on foot to reach the central area, which was convenient.
Check-in:
The staff do not speak English, so communication is basically in Spanish only. I went to the building at the designated check-in time, but no prior instructions were provided. I only received the necessary information after contacting them to say that I had arrived in front of the building. A Turkish couple who were checking in at the same time experienced the same issue, so it was not just me.
Building:
Although it was said to be temporary, the elevator was out of order. Having to walk up and down the stairs to the 5th floor every time was very exhausting. It was manageable for me, but I believe it would be extremely difficult for elderly guests.
Shared bathroom:
Despite having around 10–13 rooms, there was only one single-use toilet and shower room. When someone was using it, no one else could use the toilet at all. At least two or three toilets are necessary.
Room:
The room was sufficient just for sleeping, but there was no place to hang clothes and no hangers, which was quite inconvenient. There was also no heater in the room, so I had to rely on the heating from the common areas.
Overall:
It might be considered cheap for Madrid, but at this price, staying in a dormitory might have been a better option.
