All Running Onsen Matsue City Hotel Honkan

The baths are still filled with thermal water (though highly filtered) and the rooms are properly appointed. But the lobby and check-in are out of the Showa period. They gave up on breakfast service and now kind of offer a bento or a refund of breakfast (it was a paltry 300 hundred yet, which is basically an egg sandwich). A brighter management would make this place shine again.

We needed a hotel room for one night and had trouble finding one. We lucked out and got a room here. The man at the desk was very friendly and helpful. This is an older hotel (not sure when it started). There was parking next door and there was a bus stop across the street. For one night, we had no issues with the room.
