26.05.16We drive but still spent some time to locate this very unique and traditional ryokan that sits on a river. It’s beautiful once u enter the ryokan. There’s a staff (Xu) who speaks mandarin with us, thanks to him who took care of us during our stay. The room is also big enough for the 5 of us. There are 3 onsens, although they are not big, they are just so beautiful. 1 is a private onsen, 1 overlooks the river (omg this is really heaven), 1 public bath with onsen. The kaiseki dinner is luxurious with hida beef which melts in your mouth, although there are dishes like grilled yellow fish which the children don’t appreciate. The young lady staff is so smiley and polite whenever I see her. This is my top rated hotel throughout my Japan trip.
26.02.07The hotel preserved the traditional building. It offer good food, good service and onsen. The room have a corridor with a great view. I love spending time there.
25.12.26We love our two days. And the snow made the last day even more amazing. For the owners a note (some more water stations at each Onsen would be great. But details …. I wood come back any time !!!
25.10.27Our stay at this Ryokan was absolutely amazing! The entire experience truly felt like stepping back in time to old Japan. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive to every detail, making us feel completely cared for throughout our stay.
The traditional clothes provided for the onsen and dinner were such a thoughtful touch — they added beautifully to the authentic atmosphere. The Kaiseki dinner was spectacular: every dish was delicious, artfully presented, and made us feel like we were experiencing a piece of Japanese culture and tradition.
The outdoor onsen, overlooking the river, was incredibly relaxing — the perfect way to unwind and take in the peaceful surroundings.
We would absolutely recommend this Ryokan to anyone looking for a genuine and unforgettable Japanese experience.
25.05.14The meal quality could improve.
