The location is not bad - right next to the bus stop. But the facilities are in a bit rundown condition. Onsen is dated - the outdoor bath is right next to the Main Street and small, also lack of view and privacy, the bathing/shower facilities could use some update, like better stools to sit. To us, they appear to be a little short of hands and the apprentices need better training. They have trouble managing our needs/expectations. Getting coffee was confusing and they failed to show up to lead us to breakfast on time (I have to find someone to ask why no one showed when it was ten minutes late). Food so so.

This Ryokan is great for a traditional Japanese experience. From having your room set up while you have dinner to the experience of using the onsen. It all works seamlessly. The meal we had for dinner and breakfast was in a private room and was excellent.
