25.08.05We had an amazing time at Takahara Organic Lodge. My husband and I were walking the Kumano Kodo and we were welcomed by Jan, who, along with the other staff, was so kind, happy, and accommodating. The view of the mountains was breathtaking, and the food was exceptional. The dinner, dessert (they made a basque cheesecake that night and we were in heaven), and breakfast were all very hearty and delicious. The service was equally exceptional, and we felt at home. You can tell they love to host. The pictures do not do justice how charming and lovely the house is. We wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

After the steep climb at Takijiri, this place is just perfect. 😊

A homey atomosphere and modern Japanese architect make you feel awesome.Great view from every where in hotel. In the early morning you often see great mist in front.We use local oraganic vegetable and products. Kumano kodo is just nearby, Friendly service because we are not big hotel. village people are also friendly.we have a lot of foregners .
we understand English Spanish Chinese.
