Nasubi-no-Hana

Other than the stairs if you want a near authentic ryokan experience then this place would suit! If you are deathly afraid of bugs please be aware this has bush surrounding the place. Dinner and breakfast is in the traditional dining sitting on the tatami floor. Same with sleeping on a futon. Private onsen a real bonus!

It wouldve been a superb experience if we didnt hit on the day with heavy rain and trains suspension as it got difficult to get to up on the mountain with not many taxi willing to take us to Ito and up to the hotel. BUT! the traditional jap dinner and breakfast there were amazing; the staff were super friendly and were quite fluent in English; and last but not least, the onsen in our room was soo relaxing to be in. It was just perfect for a couples vacay!
