I originally planned on visiting with family but due to circumstances ended up checking in solo. Incredible ryokan with impeccable view of the sea, in-room semi-open bathtub, two common onsen with the same incredible sea view, and the room is plenty spacious for 2-4 people. The staffs are all friendly and welcoming and most of them can speak serviceable English. The meals are incredible and well worth the extra cost, showcasing fresh local ingredients and cuisine. However, do bear in mind that Ibusuki itself is a rather desolate neighborhood, so expect to wait 20-30 minutes for buses and trains or be prepared to walk a lot (which is not a demerit for me personally). Overall a very beautiful, comfortable and welcoming getaway if a bit premium pricing-wise.

Highly recommended! Especially for rooms with private onsen. Cozy and relaxing. The sea view is beautiful. Amenities provided are decent. Staffs were professional and well trained. There is a big supermarket within walking distance. WiFi signals were poor in my room and some places inside hotel. Also mosquito were fierce at night. I was surrounded by 3-4 mosquitos when using outdoor onsen. It was not hotel’s fault. Just part of nature… Morning time was better.

A very traditional inn with beautiful dinning area. They have staff who speaks chinese well and were very helpful. The rooms are getting old and tired but still very clean

딸아이와 가족셋이 1박했어요 직원들 친절하시고 식사도 만족스러웠습니다 노천탕도 시설이 노후화되긴했지만 뷰가 멋졌어요 다음에도 가고시마에 간다면 다시 방문하겠습니다 감사합니다

관리 잘 되고 있는 료칸호텔. 식사 늘 멋지고 사라쿠와 가까워서 매번 이용합니다.
