우에야마 료칸

Once we got to the ryoka we knew it was going to be a special stay. The welcoming staff was attentive and kind, the room we got was modern and clean, the beds were comfortable and the bath in the room was fantastic. The FOOD - WOW! We couldn’t finish. So many courses and beautiful dishes. It was such a lovely meal. We had to stop our last few dishes and they were kind enough to make rice balls and bring up dessert to our room. The outdoor stone bath was amazing. So restful and the perfect temperature. We had a phenomenal time here, everyone was so lovely and accommodating. If you’re ever visiting the Himeji castle make sure you stay the night at this ryokan, you won’t be disappointed!

Booked 2 nights at the hotel and was amazed in every ways. Location of hotel is quite inaccessible without private car but is perfect for a quiet stay. Not all staffs speak English but they are super friendly and polite. Their service is also exceptional which makes the stay very pleasant. Rooms and facilities are well maintained, clean and tidy. Rooms also provide yukata that can be worn in the hotel. The booking came with both breakfast and dinner, and the hotel made sure to take note of my food preference/allergy. The spread was amazing which is an experience itself. Note that not all rooms have in-room shower, so will have to go to the public bath. Price might be expensive, but would highly recommend hotel!

온천 이용하며 피로 풀기 좋습니다. 료칸 셔틀버스 오전 1대 오후 1대 있습니다. 1km정도 내려가면 버스 정류장 이용가능 합니다. 야외 온천이 있는데 숲에 있어서 빛에 따라 벌래가 물위로 떨어지긴 하나 바가지로 퍼서 버려주면 됩니다 저는 좋았습니다. 겨울에는 더 좋을거 같은데 ^^; 직원분들도 친절하고 좋습니다. 타월은 하루에 한개 더필요 하다면 유료 이용 가능합니다. 기본적으로 신기했던게 료칸 야식은 기본 1시간 30분이 이상이 소요됩니다. 코스 요리고 개인적으로 좋았습니다 조식도 좋습니다. 여행하는 분들은 개인적으로 차량 렌트 추천 드립니다.

Our first encounter with a Ryokan, but I must say I was very impressed. Staff very welcoming friendly and helpful, everything very clean. The Onsen was very nice unfortunately we arrived to late to enjoy the outside pool. Set in a very nice, peaceful place.Food was very nice presented and plentiful, there was a bite for everyone‘s taste. It‘s a good 50 min bus ride from Himeji train station. Much appreciated the complementary bus ride back into town the next morning. Would definitely recommend

Do request for a pick up from himeji station if you not driving. It is pretty far from the nearby bus stop and there is uphill path. Overall the place was pretty quiet and beautiful. Both meals (Dinner and Breakfast) were delicious.
