City Hotel Koryukaku - Shinjuku

Hotel Koryukaku is a budget-friendly stay in Shin Okubo with a great location, just a short walk from 2 train stations. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are relatively spacious for Tokyo standards. Overall, it’s a solid option if you prioritize location and affordability.

Close to two metro stations, comfy bed. Only the downside may be the noise of the trains but it was fine as the train does not run throughout the day

You are within a few steps from a train station, which is nice for getting out and about to travel. The building and rooms itself are outdated and have minimal service / maintenance. While you can have non-smoking rooms, the first floor will smell like smoke so you will smell it whenever you enter and exit. It may not be suitable to all travellers, but if you are only concerned about good location and having a place to stay, it will work just fine.
