26.05.18I love onsen
26.04.18Good location, the room is spacious
26.04.11The Echigo no Oyado Inamoto or as locals call it "Inamoto" is a mere 3-minute walk from Echigo-Yuzawa Station and at the head of Onsen Dori. The Onsen Dori (street) is Yuzawa's main street where you'll find a 7-11 convenient store, a multitude of restaurants, sake and snack stores plus the must-visit Yuzawa Town History Museum. All within an easy stroll.
The hotel staff are all super friendly and helpful. Even though some do not speak English, they'll use language translating app on their mobile devices to communicate.
What we appreciate is the traditional ambience of the hotel (the Japaneseness) especially the superb breakfast served in the hotel's Japanese restaurant. Each room guest is given choice of breakfast times at 7:30 or 8 or 8:30 a.m. And the meal is served in individual rooms. The breakfast "kaiseki-style"spread is generous and totally delicious!!
Our room size was ample with western style twin beds and an ensuite shower/vanity-sink area and a separate commode. The only down side is there were no curtains to cover the "shoji-style" sliding windows so outside ambient light came through the frosted glass panes. My husband had to buy eye masks for better sleep on the second night.
Overall. the Echigo no Oyado Inamoto is great value for money. If we make another visit to Yuzawa in the winter, we will definitely consider this hotel for our accommodation.
26.03.31Stayed for 2 nights during a nearly off peak season, for a short ski trip before snow melts. Facility is easy to locate, walking distance to echigo yuzawa station. 7-11 convenience stoor is just across the street. Yuzawa Kogen ropeway is also a short walk away. It has 2 great onsen bath, first floor is indoor and spacious while 3rd floor is outdoor. Nice clean rooms, well maintained. Will definitely come back here next time.
26.03.24Location was perfect near the train station and the room offered a stunning view of the mountain.
