I emailed in advance to inform that I had a very contagious norovirus and followed procedure to request a waiver for cancellation. This situation seems exactly why there is the option to request a waiver of an otherwise fine cancellation policy. No reply. I called and explained and they would not respond to be directly about anything about a health policy. They tell me that I emailed the wrong address. (The one listed on Agoda does not work apparently). I resent the emails and I asked to be emailed their reply in case I wasn't understanding their spoken Japanese correctly as I am a non-native but decent Japanese speaker. I waited for the reply. It didn't come for 7 hours, just after check- in. It was not responsive to any of my direct questions about health policy and making a different plan. I still have not received an adequate response. It felt like they were happy to take my money and not actually make a safe plan to cancel for the sake of health nor see about rescheduling.
