26.01.12The place was okay for a short stay. The bed was large enough for my wife and me, and we slept comfortably. I tend to run hot, so I always ask for air conditioning or at least a fan, but unfortunately they weren’t able to provide either, which was disappointing.
The washroom and shower were fine, with enough space for both of us to be in there at the same time. However, we were placed in a room near the stairs, and since the hotel is made of wood, we could clearly hear people walking up and down the stairs late at night and early in the morning. This was pretty annoying. Soundproofing the ceilings would go a long way in improving this issue. There was also a lot of dog barking at night, which affected my sleep quite a bit.
On the positive side, the staff was lovely and very kind. Breakfast was included, which was nice, although there wasn’t much hot food available besides eggs. Overall, the stay wasn’t horrible, and I would consider staying again—provided I get a room away from the street and not under the stairs.
