Kintore Arms Hotel

Shameful business. Embarrassed to go into front door. Problems include: Broken board in "ramp" up step to front door, tattered/holes in carpet throughout (some "fixed" with duct tape), no working TV, moldy grout in bathroom, stains on carpet, veneer coming off room door. Surge protector, plug extender affixed crookedly to wall. To top it all off, Saturday, the establishment rented out a downstairs "club room" for a private birthday party - NO NOTICE was given to guests, music from party was more than just annoying, it was booming, thumping, all words of each song clear. It was loud beyond any possible consideration for those of us who paid to get a night's sleep. When we asked for quiet at the desk, we were told "we can't tell them, it's a privately booked party." Aren't WE a privately booked party? PLEASE NOTE: this is the 2nd room we were given, the first had no shower, no full window, broken furnishings and above mentioned tattered carpets.
