26.04.11History oozes from the Old Swan as soon as you enter. You can just imagine Agatha Christie relaxing here as she took 11 days out of the spotlight. I booked two room, travelling with a teen daughter, and my only grumble was it was quite expensive with breakfast costing extra on top. Still a really nice venue n a beautiful town
26.04.05 Great grand Victorian Hotel close to the centre of Harrogate, but not noisy in the evenings.
26.03.12 The hotel is very pretty but inside it's a bit tired and a bit creaky.
26.01.07 Booked last minute two night bb&d stay at the old swan in the larger exec room. Check in was quick and early as room was ready on arrival. Room was very spacious and bed very comfortable, good shower and bath.
Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent, as were staff throughout our stay. Have stayed in plenty other Harrogate hotels over the years and would rate the old swan the best. Only one small gripe, paying for car parking when plenty of space available, slight rip off but similar to most hotels now.
26.01.04 Great staff from check in to check out. Wonderful room, suite 266. Old charm and character and so close to all Harrogate has to offer. Value for money was amazing, great breakfast in beautiful dining room. Loved our 2 night stay and will return.
