We just came back from a stay at Dreams resort Huatulco . Here is my review: The property location is their best asset , situated on Tangolunda bay , with awesome view to wake up to , and very clean beach . The staff were all wonderful, polite, helpful , always willing to go the extra step . Huge beach towel , which were greatly appreciated . I believe they are 5 huge pools , averaging like 300ft in length , the only downside for us , they were all 4.4Ft deep . All had like a tanning deck , 1 foot deep so perfect for families with little kids. One pool was specifically for adults only . We did book a king room with ocean view which was on 6th floor , club floor? So we did end up with a few extra touches , turn down service , access to club which was on 6th floor , stocked with a full bar , and lots of food and other drinks, perfect views of the bay , and Air conditioned. The room was well stocked with all common amenities for dreams : Coffee machine, fridge, safe, ironing board , iron, hair dryer , scale , robes, sleepers, toiletries (even suncreen), lots of snacks, refilled daily , ( pringles, M&M, etc….) Here are the negatives: Except for 3 restaurants and the rooms, every other space are open to the outdoor, so this time of year be ready to sweat . Clearly the facility is either aging or did suffer some damaged from the hurricane at beginning of June not yet repaired . We enjoy a wide diversity of food and were a little disappointed with a lack of variety and quality . But overall the staff try very hard to make for it. One little funny story , we did order wine at Portofino restaurant, a sommelier proceeded with opening the bottle , and to our surprise , he served himself a glass and tasted it . We have never anywhere in the world experienced that , gave us a good laugh , so not sure everyone will have as much humour about it . Thanks again for great stay overall

So this was an extension of our original stay without knowing the place, its just horrible for example the last night i gave it a chance on the grill night out and it was horrible, not enough for everyone to enjoy and be able to celebrate… i feel it should say come early or else you wont get a seat it was really strange and surrealist i wont be coming back that is for sure

The best of the place was the AC, room service and the cafeteria…. Everything elsa was from bad to worse to even beneath that …. If you can avoid it … if not hopefully it will be over soon enough
