I stayed several nights at hotel Cherubini in Rome. Of course, everything in Rome is old and ancient, but the rooms were plenty clean and comfortable for a budget stay, especially since you are mostly just sleeping and showering there and out all day and evening. There was plenty of hot water for a good shower. Just be aware with hotels around Rome that there could be three or four hotels in a 10-story building each only occupying one floor or two. Don't always walk up and expect to see a freestanding hotel dedicated just to the one that you have booked. I stayed at this hotel due to the proximity around the corner from the main Rome Termini station. I am traveling all across Europe towards Thailand and must carry a fair amount of clothes for multiple climates and also a backpack. It is easy to get from the airport to the train station and then walk one block to the hotel without needing a taxi, which can be expensive. This hotel is about a 20-minute walk to the Colosseum and about the same to the Trevi fountain. Or you can take a bus from in front of the train station to Vatican City for about $2 Euro and a 20-minute ride. But it is very convenient for walking to many of the sites. There is an old lift to take you up to the 5th or 6th floor where this hotel is located. If you need opulent surroundings then you would book somewhere else. But if you just need a place to sleep and shower, this place works fine.

Conveniently located close to Termini Station — perfect if you’re arriving late by train. The building is old but well maintained and clean. Rooms are spacious with good facilities, and the staff are very helpful. A great option for a short, comfortable stay near the main station.

Good enough for short stay. Location is 5 mins to termini station, but be careful at night, there can be dodgy people near the station. I did not expect toilet was actually clean, looked like it was newly refurbished. I thought the lift was broken because the ground for the lift had trash, later I realized it was actually working. The staff were hospitable, and they allow luggage deposit.

The staff are very friendly it’s just the building very old and no maintenance of repainting of wall
