Good clean tidy

This is a no frlls hotel which is pretty basic but the rooms were clean and had everything we needed for the few nights we were there. The service is non-existent (the cleaner wouldn't even enter the room to empty the bin, the restaurant closed earlier than advertised one night with no real explanation and they can't help you with anything if it goes wrong as it is all outsourced - car park, cleaner etc.) However, on the evening we did get food it was fine and there is a pub next door too which serves food. The hotel has a nice view over the boating lake which is good to walk or run round and breakfast was plentiful with enough variety to please those wanting a big feed or a graze. The hotel is walking distance to town with lots of (free for guests) parking so if you just need a clean bed for the night, a good shower, a drink and a reasonable breakfast then I recommend it.
