Business Ryokan Shofuku

Me and my friend stayed here one night at the end of cycling the Shimanami Kaido, it was perfectly suitable for our needs. Clean and well located not too far from the station, they provided everything we needed. Would recommend for this type of trip.

A friendly, comfortable ryokan in the heart of Imabari. Participates in luggage transfer for Shimanami bikers.

This is not a luxury hotel. The room was true Japanese style, with futon and a table being the only furniture on tatami flooring. The furo and toilet facilities were in the hall, shared by other customers. Parking was available in a garage on ground floor below the ryokan; it was cramped but sufficient. No meals were available. This was a basic, ryokan-style facility, clean and functional. There was no elevator, and so suitcases had to be lugged up a flight of stairs. There was good, free WiFi. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was close to Imabari harbor and within easy walking distance from Imabari Castle. Our room could easily have accommodated 2-3 more people (there were 2 of us) by adding more futon. For the price, this was a perfectly suitable lodging.

Not proper futon so felt like we were sleeping on the floor. Nice staff but the atmosphere and feeling of the building was very depressing - we sadly wouldn’t visit again
