23.04.17The location is a little out of the way, have to take busses, no subway close by - so Google map navigation comes in handy. Located in a residential area so not a lot of tourist attractions - which works for us. The unit is spacious, we had the whole downstair area to ourselves. The bathroom facility is wonderful, offers a serene view of the garden while soaking in the bathtub. Toilet, shower/tub, and wash basins are in separate rooms so plenty of space for two people to wash up and get ready. Cat is really friendly and "demands" attention at night (a few minutes of patting will do). He is able to open the sliding door himself - very cute. Will stay again.
23.04.13From the moment I arrived at Wind and Leaves Machiya House in Osaka, I knew I was in for a truly special experience. This incredible gem of a place exceeded all of my expectations, and I can honestly say that it was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan.
The hosts, who were absolutely amazing, greeted me with genuine warmth and kindness. Their attention to detail and dedication to ensuring that each guest has a memorable stay were truly remarkable. They took the time to share their local knowledge and recommendations, which made me feel like I was staying with close friends.
Stepping into the aesthetically beautiful house was like being transported to a tranquil oasis in the midst of the bustling city. The traditional Machiya design, combined with modern amenities, created an atmosphere of understated elegance and comfort. The thoughtfully curated décor and attention to detail in every corner made the house feel like a work of art, inviting me to slow down and savor every moment spent there.
Wind and Leaves Machiya House boasts a fantastic location in the heart of Osaka, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. Its proximity to popular attractions, as well as hidden gems, meant that I could easily venture out to experience the best that Osaka has to offer. The neighborhood itself was a delightful mix of tradition and modernity, offering a variety of dining, shopping, and cultural experiences.
My only regret is not having more time to fully immerse myself in the serene atmosphere of this unique haven. I would highly recommend Wind and Leaves Machiya House to anyone visiting Osaka, whether for a short or extended stay. It truly is a one-of-a-kind accommodation that captures the essence of Japanese hospitality and charm.
