25.10.25Most of the shops here are close during October period. The hotel is 3 mins walk to Daisetsuzan Sōunkyō Kurodake Ropeway. The hotel is also facing the shopping street where all the shop is closed. The only shop open is the convenience store.

My room was really quiet. My #1 priority.
Mostly great staff. Certainly those in the restaurant area particularly the Nepali guy who I think was the manager of that part
I found an empty food bag under the bed so cleaning can’t be great
I arrived 2hrs before official check in time & the whole place was locked up so I couldn’t leave my luggage & go for a walk. Well I could have because there are coin operated lockers available but I had no ¥100 coins. Similarly on departure I wanted storage for 3 hours & the option available was the lockers. I've never come across this one before & was not impressed.
Further to the previous point some tables & chairs outside the front door would be handy for those choosing to wait. Surely that’s not too difficult
I had a room with shared facilities & the toilet was just down the corridor so this was ok. But the shower? Wasn’t one as far as I know but there was the onsen. Which I'm not into.
Regardless of the negatives for sure I'd stay again & work around these "features"?
