Travelers Beach Inn

This was the perfect location for the show my husband and I were going to. The pool was empty. The front desk was not very welcoming. The room at least smelled clean. The bed was pretty comfortable. The walls had so much damage to them. The desk was missing one part of the legs so they had it hanging on top of a dresser. There was a door to access the room beside us that was only blocked by a dresser and mirror. Some lights didn’t work. There was a fridge that we used and found a cockroach in it. The bathroom had a tub handle for its sink handle. The shower pressure was not great. There was cable. The air conditioner worked. Also the door looked like someone tried to break in and they just painted over the damage. Luckily the dead bolt on the door worked or else I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving my belongings in there. As they have signs posted in the lobby stating they are not responsible for belongings left in the room. We were awaken by a loud constant noise that was coming from the water pipes. I’m not sure if it’s from the room above us using the water or what. But let me tell you it was loud! And it took about ten minutes to stop. So we didn’t rest well. Although this isn’t the best place its location is what really makes it ok. Super close to the beach as well. All in all I’d give it a 2 star rating.

The staff was great and let us choose our room. The rooms are dirty in the corners . Needs a good dusting. There was no working smoke alarm which is concerning for safety reasons. Other than it needing to be deep cleaned it was a great value for the price.

The rooms are really rundown. They really need to upgrade the place. The facility looked like they were from the 50s. The bathroom mirror was taped with painter's tape; both toilet paper dispensers did not have a stem, so the TPs were just left standing on the counter; then the floor boards were cracked open; the door from both the inside and outside was so dirty with scuff marks that it probably hasn't been clean for decades.
