Location was great — it’s less than a 1-minute walk to the Ruifang train station, where you can also catch the tour bus to explore the coastal area and nearby small waterfalls. There’s also a morning market and plenty of food spots to try local food. I actually booked this hostel by accident because I thought it was near Taipei Main Station (lack of research on my end), but because of that, I got to explore a different side of Taipei, which ended up being a nice surprise. The hostel itself was okay. The pictures were a little misleading because they made it seem like there were open mic events and a spacious common hangout area, but there wasn’t really anything like that. There’s also no kitchen. Thankfully, I visited during a quieter time with fewer guests, so for a short stay, I didn’t mind. The manager was nice, though.

Even a budget place should have basic WiFi and cleanliness. You won’t meet anyone who works there. The trash was overflowing in the morning. The beds were a super soft foam mattress on top of an older mattress - very uncomfortable. The pods had no ventilation and if you open your curtain you have lights in your eyes- so quite stuffy. I requested a refund through the messaging system on Agoda and was told my request was unreasonable and that’s how a budget hostel is. The place is ugly too.

I made the wrong booking to Female Dorm uninteionally. That was my fault. but the owner refused any other solution even the refund though I'm not use their service. as it was the Chinese New Year Holiday.

Reliable, fast communication with the host. There is free wifi and the room is safe. It is good value for your money. You have the basics to live. Bed, toilet, showers, wifi, outlet to charge your phone. It is very close to the train station and ruifang market making it very convenient. The hotel is made with love for every guest ~
