26.04.30I can only think of a few good things about this accommodation:
1. Staff/host/contact person - very communicative which made our late-night check-in a breeze.
2. Proximity to the Colosseum & nearby cafes/restau/supermarket - top-notch especially if you like admiring & hanging out by the Colosseum at night. You never go hungry because there are a lot of places to eat in the area.
3. Electric blinds - we came in spring so the sun comes up earlier in the morning and the blinds really help a lot in shutting the bright lights from outside.
4. Mini fridge - nothing fancy
Things that disappointed us during our stay:
1. Shower - the head of the shower is loose which makes it clumsy & scary to use. We were so scared it would come off from the wall during our stay. The damage around the bathroom is very noticeable (leak damage, shower fixtures, rust). Although the bathroom facilities are functional, it's not of the best condition. Clearly, it needs to be renovated. Only handsoap & towels (kinda of old & with marks of being used) were provided.
2. Wifi - in the property info it says they have wifi but unfortunately, their wifi did not reach our room—there’s no wifi in the room!
3. Water boiler - don't use it! It's uncleaned & moldy. There were disposable cups too but we really didn't trust them. We ended up buying ourselves our own bottled drinks.
4. Sleeping - pillows, blanket, & bed itself are not very comfy. The accommodation is in a busy street so you can definitely hear the cars & people passing by.
Honestly, if this accommodation stays as it is, we are never going back. If you're only there for sightseeing all day & not care too much about hotel-standard facilities & hygiene, maybe this is place is for you.
