25.02.13I got sold by the pictures 😞 thinking it was a ryokan in a house, it's a multilevel hotel-esq building. Inside it is dated and dark.
The tub had visible soap scum buildup, the fridge had dark spots, either rust or mold I'm not sure.
Every other surface in the room has stains on it. the sheets, the floor, the doors and walls, the seat cushion, the table, everything. there was a few pieces of hair in and around the sink, underlining the sparce cleaning in-between guests. The sheets were clean as far as I could tell, just had a grease stain? so I didn't complain and just dealt with the situation.
The breakfast set was okay, and it's located fairly close to Chinatown, but it is up a fairly steep hill from the subway station making it difficult to get to with suitcases. it does have a functioning elevator and heating, and the proprietors seem nice.
Overall not nearly my best accommodation in Japan.
