26.03.24가격대 비해서 엄청 좋아요 !
그렇게 좁지도 않고 방도 깔끔하게 청소해 주시고 3박4일 쓰는 동안 아주 대만족 이에요
26.03.22Decent hotel for the price
26.03.20J LINK is a good little business hotel right in the junction between Wan Chai/Causeway Bay
Its not the 4 Seasons, and could do with a bit of a spruce up, but its clean, convenient, not gonna break the bank, the staff are helpful, and no fuss
26.03.14Excellent location near public transit and restaurants. My room on 12th floor was quiet enough for uninterrupted sleeping. windows fit tightly and latch properly so provide good insulation from street noise. Staff was very helpful in providing guidance and tips for public transit. Especially helpful were tips to express busses that run from airport to very near hotel: faster and lower cost than using metro. Bed was super comfortable; not too hard, nor too soft period.
26.01.04Shame on Agoda for promoting J Link Hotel Hong Kong on its platform and ignoring or omitting the many negative reviews it has received, either it is negligent in ensuring its partner hotels are trustworthy or worse!
I booked this hotel (managed by ***) for a 3-night stay in Hong Kong through Agoda as a top promoted hotel, and showed up on the evening of checking in with my PAID AND CONFIRMED booking. They denied me entry because of a technicality in my passport versus Agoda account name (by convention with certain countries, the “Surname/ Family name” and “Last name” do not mean the same thing and are positioned differently in the passport).
They used this as a lame excuse to tell me to my face that both are not the same people – unbelievable! No amount of explaining on my part was accepted. The staff said that in Hong Kong this is the culture. Fantastic – do they mean a culture of scammers and bureaucrats with no common sense? But then she followed up by saying she can accept a new booking if I pay the full amount again on the spot!
The hotel staff serving me completely refused to negotiate on this matter. When I kept insisting, she left and was replaced by a more aggressive staff who kept falling back on the T&C’s of my booking being non-refundable and there is no resolution for this, except for me to contact Agoda. After that, they completely ignored me and I am left stranded in a foreign city I have never been to before, on a new year’s day, and left to fend for myself. Hideous and heartless people.
Not even the governments of countries have issues with my surname versus last name, but the hotel staff here have a very well-practiced and rehearsed modus operandi to deny rightful bookings using a name error scam. If your passport name and Agoda account names are an exact match, the hotel may entertain your booking only because they are not able to exploit this as a way to cheat you of your money.
I have used Agoda so many times over the years until I achieved Platinum status and NONE of the hotels I ever booked with them raised this as an excuse to deny my valid booking. Agoda Customer Care claims to “sincerely regret” the situation and offers a compensation of 50% of the original booking value in AgodaCash. Not good enough - this is such a half-hearted and insincere gesture for all the trauma I went through thanks to using their booking platform!
Agoda Customer Care also says they can initiate a full refund provided the hotel agrees to it. So that means a merry-go-round where Agoda tells me to negotiate with the hotel for a refund but the hotel tells me to contact Agoda to talk about refunds. There is no winning for the victim in this situation.
I failed to do my own due diligence in double checking that J-Link Hotel actually has many reviews of them pulling off this scam even on other sites. However, implicit in using the Agoda platform for booking meant that I trust it and took it for granted that its partner hotels are reliable and trustworthy. Agoda rates the hotel as “Very Good” so it has now completely lost my trust.
N.B. If reporting this at the police station they will direct you to lodge a complaint with the Consumer Council of Hong Kong.
