I’m writing this review from the perspective of a first-time visitor to Korea. I’m not very familiar with local price levels, I had never used a subway system before (my country doesn’t have one), and I also don’t have much experience with international hotel standards—so please take this as a practical traveler’s impression. Location The location was convenient for using public transport. The hotel is not far from two subway stations, and there is also a bus stop right in front. My family used a “Climate Card,” which lets you use public transport in Seoul unlimited times in a day for a fixed price—very useful. There is a convenience store very close to the hotel, and plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby (though I didn’t eat around the hotel, so I can’t comment on those). Room The room was simple, nothing luxurious, and a bit small, though the bed was comfortably large. For the price I paid, I felt it was good enough. A big plus for me was the spacious bathroom, separated from the sleeping area. I was initially worried because the photos didn’t clearly show a bathroom door, but in reality the bathroom is private and inside your room—it just has its own separate space connected by the room’s entry area. Staff / Check-in One thing to note: there is not a full-time front desk or staff present. A staff member is usually around from 4pm to 7pm, mainly for light housekeeping. Otherwise, communication is through phone or WhatsApp with the owner. Important for anyone planning to arrive before the 4pm check-in hoping to drop off luggage first: that may not be possible, because without staff present, you may not be able to enter the hotel. The main entrance has a code lock, and you receive the code when staff is available. You use that code throughout your stay (separate from your room key). Facilities This part actually exceeded my expectations. There is a small shared nook under the stairs on the first floor with a microwave, hot and cold water dispenser, paper cups and plates, and even disposable spoons and chopsticks. Very handy if you buy food and want a simple late-night meal there. Overall, for my needs and budget, I found it a reasonable stay.
