26.01.02Nice and quiet environment
25.06.13Good stay as expected. Unfortunately Agoda who I booked through wasn’t clear on what the final price would be. There always seems to additional charges that are not apparent until it’s time to pay.
25.04.16This place is:
• superbly clean
• great value for money
• dog-friendly
• a classic Kiwi motel experience
• nothing fancy, but everything works and you can just check in and rest.
The owner is also friendly and helpful, and very accommodating when it comes to your canine companions. I travelled with my 2 medium-large labradoodles and as long as my dogs were clean, quiet and polite, I didn’t need to stress about the rules of the place being too onerous. I found the whole thing low stress, which is always nice when you’re in an environment like that with pets. Others on the property had dogs too and there was never an issue with barking or noise or fuss.
There is no grass outside the units for the dogs to use but the property has unfenced grass at the front of it, both on-property and in front of the property.
Non-dog bonus: the Waitomo petrol station down the block has some of the cheapest fuel in the area.
Final verdict: I’d come back here if I were bringing my dogs to Whanganui again.
25.04.14It's quiet and close to city. Homely feeling.
25.02.26Room had been closed up for sometime, so when first entering it was very musty and stale smelling. We felt the room could of been aired out before our arriving.
The room was tidy, but very dated and needed a bit of work done.
The bathroom fan had exposed wires sticking out which could of been dangerous.
