I was a little confused with the un-maned reception desk, but the over the phone service was quick enough.
26.02.27 Ellerslie Palms is easy to get to. My studio room and bathroom was fresh, clean, comfortable and nicely laid out. Value for sure through Agoda.
26.02.23 The location is great and the room had good space, but overall the experience was disappointing.
First, the room setup did not match the booking. The reservation clearly stated two single beds and one double bed, but what was provided with no negotiation or solution offered by management was one double bed and only one single bed. That’s not what was booked, and it caused immediate inconvenience.
The motel also does not provide daily room cleaning. This is the first time I’ve stayed somewhere that refused to clean the room during my stay, which is a basic hygiene and sanitation service not just for my room, but for all rooms.
Management was poor, especially the man answering the hotline/on-call. It often felt like only one person was responsible for everything, which affected service and responsiveness.
Cleanliness was a major issue: I noticed bugs on the carpet and concerns with the bedding. The couch also felt sticky and overused.
One positive: the man working during his shift (I think his name is “Money”) was excellent—helpful, professional, and genuinely tried to improve the stay. He stood out in a very positive way.
