26.04.13I have stayed here twice already. Location is good. I enjoy their cocktails too.
25.05.09The property is located amidst a stream of restaurants, atm and beach view (not swimmable) along the busy street of General Luna but on the quiet side (except Thursdays when they are the island party host). The pool is around 6x6 meters and quick dip after a day long tour is a very good way to relax. Breakfast is good but pricey. Staff are courteous but tends to misled you when inquiring on land travel tours as the one we inquired from referred us to a tuktuk driver which we later found out is her partner. Some staff cannot give us tips on how to best explore the island. She initially said that charged for tuktuk rental is 1500 but the driver charged us 2500 on our 1st day and 3500 for the north island tour which we later found out is the same rate for a car rental that you can avail from the property itself. Lots of time wasted as tuktuk is quite slow and uncomfortable (think of 3 hours ride on 1st day tour to magpupungko, river, etc tour and 6 hours ride for the north part tour-taktak falls, cave, pacific, secret mountain, etc). Toiletries provided are towels and liquids soap only. We occupied the room on the far left end and there's no mobile signal (globe and smart) and we relied mostly on their stable wifi. The room has a/c, smart tv and heater. If one prefers a quick access to swimming area though, they should instead choose a property within the cloud 9 area. Property manager Meloy and Joel are both helpful and gave a more informative details on best ways to explore the island. Inquire from them right away instead of talking to other hotel staff.
25.05.09Plenty of restaurants is within a walking distance from the property. Few steps is an atm machine and a beach view (not swimmable though). The property is centrally located but still on the quiet side of the busy gen luna street. Staff are courteous except that we failed to get the best deal for siargao tour since one of the staff we inquired from referred us to her partner "tuktuk" driver who charged us the same rate for a car that can be rented from the property itself which we only found out when we asked the property driver for a vehicle that will transfer us from the property to airport on our last day. So we failed to get the best deal for the island tour as the tuktuk ride for 2 days resulted to back pain, inconvenience and long travel time (3 hours ride on the first day and 6 hours ride on the 2nd day). We failed to experience the island hopping adventure as the tuktuk driver kept telling us that the best beaches and view are on the north side which was more than 2 hours ride from general luna. The property manager "Meloy" is accommodating and friendly, as well as the driver "Joel" who extended a quick tour at the church and pan de coco stall before we headed back to airport. Forget renting the tuktuk and asked right away from Meloy or Joel for a ride to tour the island. Breakfast is good but quite pricey. The room we got is on the far end and had no signal (smart and globe) but wifi saved the day. No toiletries provided except the liquid bathsoap and towel. The pool is around 6 x 6 meters and we did enjoy taking a quick dip after a day long tour.
25.03.13Room was small but nice, location is excellent. Don’t think the floor was cleaned before we got there but was cleaned right away when we asked. Hot water and AC worked well. A nice hotel overall
25.02.07very accommodating staff.
