25.08.11Clean place, nice bar, friendly staff, good location close to Whaling Museum, restaurants, ferry terminal.
BUT expect drug bums lurking in doorways across the street, occasional late night ranting loonies, thumping stereos, and revving engines.
“Breakfast” was croissants, bagels, nuke muffins, etc. Yuck.
Coffee machine in room is outdated. Come on, K Cup is pretty standard now and not expensive.
Doughnut shop across street.
Free parking in lot two blocks south on Sixth Street, or free on street on weekends only.
Hotel overpriced for sure, but not many other options nearby.
New Bedford is trying and has lots of potential but it’s kind of a dump outside the ferry terminal area. Further south is kinda ghetto.
$15 parking fee at Fort Taber Park or beach is nuts. Fort Phoenix Park across the bridge in Fairhaven is clean and free.
Bottom line: hotel overpriced but ok for quick business or weekend.
