26.05.13I spent three nights at S Resort, El Nido. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, with hot water, a cosy bed, and a great location — just a short walk from the beach and local dining.
That said, the stay had two hiccups: the balcony on my first room was unusable due to exhaust fumes from a neighbouring shop, and the air-conditioning in my second room was insufficient, affecting my sleep.
What truly stood out, however, was the team's response. Mr.*** from Operations promptly moved me to a king-bed room and arranged an upgrade — calm, sincere, and genuinely helpful. When the AC issue led me to cancel a planned tour, Mr. *** personally came to my room, waived the full cancellation cost, and arranged a complimentary trip to Napcan Beach with transport — an incredibly generous gesture. On checkout, the resort added a complimentary airport transfer, a souvenir bag, and a small cake for the journey.
A special mention also to ***, ***, and *** — every staff member I encountered went out of their way to make my stay memorable.
Challenges can arise anywhere; it's how a team handles them that defines a property. S Resort handles them with heart. I will absolutely return on my next visit to El Nido.
