I was amazed by this place! I can't say enough how worth it a stay here is. It's the perfect spot if you want something that's right on the beach (with great views of the sunset!) but a quieter side of Moalboal since most of the dive resorts / hostels / tour jumpoffs are in a different area. In our case, Ravenala was exactly what we were looking for. Both the bedroom and bathroom are surprisingly very spacious. It's clean, safe, with good provisions. The staff are always ready to assist, and they're all very kind. They made sure we were comfortable during our entire stay. They offer tour and transportation assistance. The place is not hard to find; it's well-known, so tricycle drivers are familiar with Ravenala if you're commuting. On the other hand, there's parking space onsite if you're driving. The way going here is pretty straightforward, and the road is cemented; it's just the last stretch that's not yet paved, but it's only for a very short distance, and it's definitely worth it anyway. The resort grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing because there's a well-kept garden and lots of greeneries all around. There are lounge chairs if you just want to enjoy your time in the sun, and it has its own access to the beach. The sea is really just a few steps away It's clean and swimmable; the waves aren't too big. You can even borrow snorkeling & diving gear onsite because there are already good underwater spots to explore nearby. The beachfront is also well-lit at night, so it's safe and good for walks and hangouts. The only noise there might be is if it's a weekend, and lots of locals are hanging out on the public beach, but even then, Ravenala is secluded enough that the noise is not distracting. Plus the food is really delicious! Homecooked and healthy with fresh ingredients. It's such a dream getaway place to stay, worth every cent! Definitely recommending to others and coming back. :)

I wouldn’t recommend this beach house if your a family or have friends to hangin out , the owner is not friendly for a family like mine, But the staffs are good .My children is flattered and happy because we’re already arrived at the place , we arrived at 7:30pm . And he’s a bit talk and talk while seeing his ipad ( the iPad wasn’t fully volume) because we’re busy finding the other room outside their beach for my other relatives because their room is full. So my cousin said to me that the owner is telling my son to go outside and off the iPad because it’s noisy kuno. ( pina maldita Ang tingog) imagine 7.30 pm off na Ang lights and the place is dark kaayo. So if you want hanging out and gusto mag happy happy sa gabie . Ayaw nalang mo dre , there are many beaches man sad sa mga tapad Ang pwedi mo mag happy2 taking and laughing until overnight naara sa tapad jud . Ayaw dre Kay 7pm palang dark na kaayo Ang palibot Kay tolog nadaw Ang mga tao dre . Imagine 7:30 mi naabot pero wala nay Saba Kay the owner said she don’t want a noisy ? We go here for hanging out away from city, what she expect mo ari Ramig ma tulog by 7:30 pm? Deli pwedi mag noisy , so pag ari namo perti hiloma sa palibot ambot sayu tingali na tog Ang mga tao nibakasyon para ma sleep og sayo tingali. From 2N/3D we’re not happy staying here mas happy pami sa tapad na akong na booked sa akong relatives adto mi ga pondo and moari mi dre para lang mag Sleep Kay masayang among bayad pod. And the beach is dirty also . Naligo mi sa tapad na beach Kay limpyo Ang sa tapad . From 2014 sigi Mig kaligo bisan Asa dre rami naka kıtag owner na dili ganahan og noisy sa sayong kagabhion.

We used to frequent this place, as they used to be my wife and I's favorite beach go-to.. But now the place isn't maintained very well anymore... Biggest thing is the very dirty pillows.. underneath the pillow case, you can see an old, dirty pillow.. i was afraid there might be molds deep inside the pillows. I had to use a spare T-shirt as a protective layer so I could sleep, after seeing the pillow inside the casing. Next, is the Shower does not work. we stayed here not being able to take a bath, as the shower had little to no pressure. that resulted in us not wanting to bathe in the sea aymore because we won't be able to rinse afterwards. third, is the window in the bathroom.. there is nothing that prevents outsiders from seeing you naked. there's a huge window, but there isn't any curtains or blinds to provide privacy. some people were walking around outside and we see them. surely they see us too, especially at night when it's dark outside but it's bright inside the bathroom. we can hear steps and movements outside while we're doing our business in the toilet. Food was so-so.. breakfast portions tiny.. sad as I'm writing this review as this resort used to be our go-to since the last few years, and seeing the resort not being kept well. they have a cozy atmosphere.. just not maintained well. it's a shame, they have a very good location, the actual beach is beautiful. very sayang. I hope they improve. if they do I'd actually want to regularly come back again in a positive note, the staff are very friendly. Their dog is also very friendly

Will definitely go back next time.

This has been the 3rd time we stayed in Ravenala. Since we discovered the place, this has been our go-to resort whenever we decide to stay overnight in Moalboal. The value for money, the staff, and the resort itself is 👌👌👌
